I am sure you did not look like a rectangle sausage, that made me laugh though. I love your second option looks beautiful on you.

I really wanted a fit and flare type dress as I think they are gorgeous but the style (trued a few) on my body type made me look like a stuffed rectangular sausage. Needless to say I had to go with my second pick which was an A-line gown and I fell in love with all the Aline downs I tried on but this one made me happiest so I got it!

Stephanie, worst case you will have fun.

I had so much fun that I have another appointment where one of my bridesmaid lives, I booked in months before and do not want to cancel since she was unable to be there when I tried on dresses, she is bringing my niece and her mother, they never experienced this moment before so I kept the appointment for them. I know we will have fun, I am hoping I do not find another dress I love lol. May end up wearing two dresses. lol

I actually tried a dress similar, but it was more plain at the bottom and the sleeves were driving me nuts, I found myself pulling them up. But even after trying a dress like that I just wanted to go back into my YES dress. I did not have the crying moment, but I had an attachment to it.

It looks amazing on you! It's a gorgeous dress you never know what you will end up wearing on your big day. Thank you for Sharing with us. Weight loss and pregnancy is not an easy thing, but loved that you tried a fitting dress and found that confidence. I had lost over 100 pounds and with covid and depression I gained most of it back. I do not want to be my smallest weight as I found I looked unhealthy, my 1 year goal is to at least lose 50 pounds or at least tone my body to give me a bit of confidence back. I love my dress and how it fit, but I have area's of improvement.

What I had always pictured myself in! (I was very close to getting this dress too. I had 1 more appt and if I didn't find something there, I planned to go back and get this dress)

My experience… get ready for a story lol grab some popcorn 🍿 Kinda funny a week after I met my fiancé I was looking at wedding dresses 😂 I just knew he was the one!! what can I say !? 😝
So if I go back all the way to 2017 this was the dress I had saved to my Pinterest and I envisioned myself in! At the time I had no idea about the wedding industry or even dress designers except for on TLCs say yes to the dress and their classic pnina tornai dress!



2019 of January we decided to start trying for a baby! But Then 2020 happened lol and We had still planned on getting married and we had already been looking at rings before I got pregnant. Little did I know he had bought a ring before I got pregnant and it was lost in shipping because of Covid! 8 months later he proposed! Lol sooo after having a baby I didn’t think I’d want a tight fitting dress because my body has changed and I wasn’t comfortable with it yet.As I researched designers I fell in love with madi lane dresses and knew I was trying it on and taking it home. No questions asked. I had been looking at this dress for a whole year and knew it was mine!!! Lol.


I tried the madi lane dress on and maybe 3-4 other designers similar to it but I knew it was the one! The ladies I brought with me loved it as well and we all cried together haha BUT just to reassure myself I asked to try on one more dress! A tight fitted dress. She brought out an essense of Australia I tried it on and I was surprised that I loved it and loved my body in it!!My grandma, Aunty and maid of honour liked it more than the madi lane too and they had loved that one!! so that reassured me that I was making the right decision !! And we all cried again lol Now since 2021 I’ve lost 25 pounds of pregnancy weight with my trainer. My main goal being to get my confidence back. And I did just that with healthy habits! I feel incredible and confident in my new mom body! My body will never be the same I still have stretch marks and cellulite but I created a human and I’m pretty proud of that 🥰
Soo basically I knew what I wanted all along lol I had chosen that dress back in 2017 and it is so similar to the one I have now but thought I was too big for a dress like that! So I guess for new brides, be open to trying on everything, you’ll never know until you see yourself in it! And your not too big for a dress you can wear whatever you want!!!

Amanda, you did great as well, to be able to go back and still love that same dress you just know. I did not think I would have that moment, I also didn't think I would enjoy dress shopping but it was all an amazing and fun experience.

I saw my wedding dress on a mannequin a year before I started looking for dresses and I told myself that was my dress fast forward a year later and the same bridal store had that same dress as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one

Probably why I liked it so much. After trying this dress one, the others I've tried on did compare and I just kept wanting to try on my dress. I didn't think I would have found a dress so quick but this one felt right. It' even has different layers of sparkle.
