Very true. But some will allow you to get a liquor permit! Cumbersome no doubt! So you are serving alcohol and not food?

the problem with public spaces is alcohol isnt always permitted....

Are you not providing dinner at all or are you bringing in an outside caterer? or hosting a ceremony? I feel your struggle, I wanted an outside caterer initially but it was SO hard to find a venue that would allow that without charging a huge venue fee! That being said, we found in the end that going with a facility that provided the food still ended up being more cost effective in the long run!Here are some suggestions: Union halls, social clubs are good places to rent rooms from inexpensively.Otherwise you can contact parks and recreation in Cambridge and pay them a fee to use a public park or one of their community rooms. I've heard of a few brides doing that! Or if you have a friend of yours that owns a condo or condo townhouse, some buildings or complexes have party rooms that can be used by the owners. Many of them have kitchen facilities as well. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure about cost- but I know a couple who were married at a lilac or lavender farm near Ingersol.... I'll try to get a link for you! I know they had to have caterers come in....so no food was included!
