Venue Prices - do you find they've skyrocketed cause of covid?😬

The venues we've looked at so far are in the $250-310 per head range. This includes the venue fee, food, chairs, tables, linens + for some of the venues the DJ and wedding event planner.


Is this in line with what some of you have been seeing? One of my friends booked her venue last year and it was $150 per head so just wondering if this is cause it's 2022 and ya know, covid! Cheers!🍾

    I agree with everyone, its just kinda part of the market.

    I know I asked my bestie for some insight to prices she paid, but her wedding was in 2018, so I knew I had to keep that in mind. but was defeintly around the $100-200 increase mark.

    Also, I had referred my photographer to a friend, and even in the couple months I since I had booked she had increased her pricing.

    I have a feeling you're just looking at pricier venues overall. There are definitely some out there closer to the $150 per head range.

    Eventhough we are now facing COVID pricing for everything, I do think this is high. However, it also depends

    on what type of venues you are looking at ie: golf courses, wineries etc ....

    Yes prices have definitely gone up. Our venue went from $3000 to $6000 and thats only to book not including food and alcohol

    Prices definitely go up year over year. Since 2019 it looks like our venue has gone up about $20 per head, but not as drastic as what you’ve mentioned.
    If I add up the cost of renting chairs, hiring a planner and DJ were not too far off from your estimates. We’re in ontario as well.

    Price increase for venues will be highly every year as it does occur. I can imagine the $150 charge per per and more. I don't think its Covid unless they have the claus for cancellation fee on top of it.
