Hi All!

This is my first post! I got engaged on June 25th and my fiance and I are planning an October 6th 2018 wedding. At this point we are very new to the planning process. We are getting married in my home town in NB( we currently live in Ottawa). My home town is very small (approx 4900 people) and a lot of the venues are dated. We are going home on vacation at the end of August and are going to be viewing a lot of these locations to find our reception venue and I am scared that I am going to see them and not be able to envision them decorated!


We are having a small wedding (50-60 people) and want the reception to be fun and enjoyable. I want it to look great too! Has any one else had to deal with dated venues? How did you make them your dream?

    A decorator can make any venue look like a palace, even a barn. Maybe you should consider finding someone who can do that for you.

    I suggest you to have a look at https://nationaleventvenue.com/ . We had our wedding day there. For me, venue was one of my 'non-negotiables' in terms of the budget - it was ultimately one of the most important choices I madeSmiley smile And I never regretted my choice.

    Have you googled those venues and checked images? I'd also search themOn Facebook and instagram. People often tag the venues and you can find a lot of photos that way!
