Venue on a budget

Kyla, on September 6, 2017 at 09:50 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 8
Hey everyone,
We are in the early stages of planning and trying to find a venue that is within our budget and for 50-60 people. Would prefer ceremony and reception on the same grounds as it's easier for everyone... any suggests on venues for fairly decent cost with the most included???

Wow that is so awesome! Did you happen to look in Toronto/Mississauga (GTA) as well? Caledon even? I am on a tight budget and that sounds amazing!!

I found the cheaper venues were around Chilliwack... Check out: Columbia Valley community centre, Yarrow community centre, Tzeachten community hall (a little large for 60), Cultus lake community hall, Mount Lehman community hall (Abbotsford)
Some other halls that are a little more expensive but nice are:Beecher Place (White Rock)Fraserview village hall (Maple Ridge)Clayburn village (Abbotsford)

What is your budget? There are quite a few halls available to rent in the lower mainland but renting a community hall generally involves a lot more work.

We're also trying to keep our wedding affordable. We decided to rent a hall instead of the traditional venues. We rented it for a Friday to set up and a Saturday for the wedding day and in totally costing us about $400.
The thousands of dollars were saving by doing this is allowing us to spend a little more on decorations and food/drinks to make the hall feel just as beautiful as a wedding venue would be!

Where in BC, you may want to consider a larger restaurant that has an outdoor garden or venue outside, most services would be included. Or golf courses are good for having ceremony and reception at same location, a smaller one would offer better prices. Also private clubs.
