Trying to find a venue is hard !! Can't seem to find the perfect, casual, inexpensive place !!

Wedding planning is not as easy as it seems....

Still looking for that great wedding venue !!

I’ve made great progress in the past few days. I’m down to 2 venues. Should be able to make a decision by next week. And then the real planning starts. Lol

It took us a while too and we kept going between two venues. Have you found any prospective venues yet?

If you are looking for a casual vibe, have you talked to some of your favourite local restaurants? Some will host weddings or at least your reception. This would give you a much more relaxed and casual vibe than a hall or church or hotel.

I would definitely head to any Wedding Expos coming up in your area, it is a great help as the ones that are there tend to be fairly popular so I'm sure they have great reviews and reputation. It also helps you get an a general idea of what the venue will cost. I talked to I think at least 15 venues in total some at the expos I went to (went to 3), some via email/phone. But I went with one of the ones that we saw at the Expo due to pricing and overall friendliness of the staff as they want your business and they will give you ALL the info you are looking for and answer all questions and concerns. You would want to head to expos earlier and maybe look into the expo website and hit the venues you want 1st, downside of the expos as that there are so many ppl there that sometimes you aren't able to ask all the questions you want to.

Our wedding venue was one of the first ones I looked into. It is the exact venue budget, from the pictures I fell in love but only downside was that it's about an hour's drive from majority of our family plus no onsite bathrooms, we have to rent a trailer which is not expensive at all! So I talked to the lady and we agreed to meet but I also looked in to 3-4 other places. The second I walked into the venue I was madly in love, nothing else mattered and my fiance felt the same. We still went to meet with the other venue, an adorable bed and breakfast but she decided to get her nails done at the exact time we were supposed to meet..she told us to wait and she'll be there ASAP well 20 mins passed, 30 mins passed and I was done. Venue 1 was the winner! And no planning is extremely hard! I can't even imagine doing it in less than a year!
