Vendors Not Replying Right Away

Hi everyone,


Anyone else having trouble with their vendors? Some of them have been wonderful - photographer, band, decor = A++ however the catering company we have chosen (rated very well, lots of reviews) are totally not getting back to us. The process started off great and promising but now it is like 2-3 weeks before I get a reply which honestly stresses me out. The MUA I chose is the same...I get it's a busy time and I do not expect a 24/28 hr responses however 2-3 weeks...is this really reasonable? ah, anyone else having this issue and finding this stressful? Did you switch vendors/companies?

    My email might have went into their junk mail since I used my work email and they have been busy with renovations and weddings. I'll give them time. lol

    My venue, I sent an email with questions and concerns but I am not getting married until September 2023 so I'll give them Until January for a response.

    Happy to report I have heard back from the vendors. Thank you all for your words and reassuring it is just a busy time and I need to practice some patience : )

    Vendors are always going to be get busy this season as its a high time for them and looking into everything they need for the events coming up including yours. You are trying to find out what you need to know from them and be on track with them. They will hopefully reach out to you and reassure you everything is set and getting there as they work towards the day.

    I'm a tad more concerned for you since your event is in two months. What kind of inquiries are you sending? Have you at least gotten the major things like the menu selection and tasting out of the way? If so, that's some relief but if you're looking for someone to walk you through the process from the beginning, I would have a few backups because it's cutting it close.

    I agree with Amanda, when booking for my wedding next year in May it took sometimes 2-3 weeks to hear back from vendors because they are already so busy. These vendors also said the number of people reaching out to book for next year is already of the numbers of this years wedding and we are only the end of June. I expect them to have a hard time keeping up with people when they are cooking/baking/setting up for the numerous weddings they have in one weekend.

    It's the most busiest time of year in the past 2 years. I wouldn't stress too much. They will get back to you. You could always send a second email a week later if you feel the need to just make sure that they received it.
