Veil Covering or Not?

Megis, on June 25, 2018 at 20:31 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 16
I have a veil for my dress but a debating how to wear it.

Covering the face may be good cuz I'm shy and it will only be for a short time. Not sure about makeup accidentally transferring to it though.

Not covering is also ok.

Might be stressing too much over a little detail Smiley xd

Mine will be elbow length 2 tiers too. I won't be covering my face cause I want my FH to see me with my makeup and the whole package walking down the aisle.

It’s def a personal choice but I am doing a two tier covering my face. I’ve always loved the look. It’s so royal.

I for sure want a 2 tier that will cover my face!

I'm honestly not sure who will put it back though? I think the father of the bride usually does before he presents her but I like the idea of my Groom putting it back for me

Yes for sure... I've never seen a bride use a single tier veil in front of the face... if you don't need to for traditional reasons, I say stay with it in the back... no fuss, no mush.

Your makeup should be fine - the veil shouldn't actually touch your face, just hang in front of it.

I wasn't going to go with a blusher (the part that covers your face) but my fiancé specifically asked if I was going to wear one because he was looking forward to it. So now I am!

It's not 2 tier. Just regular. I think it looks better behind me for photos

I would say not covering so that you don't have someone struggling with lifting it off your face to flip backwards (even Prince Harry struggled with it).

    I would say not covering.
A veil is a beautiful accessory but the history behind the tradition is not something I jive with so I’m a fan of wearing it off of the face.

Just to clarify, is your veil 2 tiered? Like, does it have a blusher?
Generally it's more traditional to cover the face, which is totally fine!
Personally I want the photos of me coming down the aisle to be able to see my face.

It shouldn't affect your makeup at all, if anything it may affect your hair depending how far back it's clipped in.
My photographer said she is going to get some pictures of me coming up the aisle from the officiants point of view so I for sure don't want it covering my face. I also want her to get the moment that my fiancé and I see each other at the ceremony cause we aren't doing a first look.
The pictures you want might help make your decision like it helped me Smiley smile

I dont thknk that the veil will affect your makeup, but I personally prefer the look of not having the veil covering your face! Veils are so gorgeous, and I love the look of them moving behind a bride as she walks!

Maybe wear it for a day without makeup and see if you feel it touching your face?
