Use it or lose it? - Ceremony programs

Joey, on June 17, 2019 at 08:47 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 29

Will you have printed programs spelling out the members of your wedding party, your readings, and the order of your ceremony? Or is that something you plan to do without?

Ceremony programs - will you use them or lose them?

Using it. We are going with a comical program because we think it's better, but it will be a huge one with details from both in detail and it's more a guide. And the kids get coloring book programs.

Losing the individual ones. Might do a sign at the entrance or something with a basic overview.

I don’t plan on having programs. No one reads them so it’s a waste of paper and money. I would rather put that towards something my guests will enjoy and benefit from.

Lose it. We don't need them. We are doing reception and wedding in same room. First look pics will save the time of anyone one leaving. We'll get married and head right into cocktail hour. I'm having a smaller wedding >100 people. Everyone knows everyone already.

Lose it, I suppose the wedding website can give further information if our loved ones need it.

Lose it! It’s not necessary. The guests will just have to go with the flow

Lose it. Not worth it for a 20 minute ceremony.

Lose it. Our ceremony will be short and sweet, therefore programs are not necessary.

Lose it. Everything on it will be on the website and/or an order of events sign plus it's just more paper that we don't need to use.

At this point, lose it. it would be a waste, our ceremony will be over in about 30 mins anyways, and we’re not having ushers or anything so it would just be awkward

Use it. It was a last minute thing and cost us nothing. However they printed maybe 60 more than what we needed but that's why we recycle!! All our guests loved them and no one left theirs behind! Here is what ours looked like.

Lose it. It's a lot of paper and an added cost and the only cultural ritual or element that we're having we'll have our officiant briefly explain.

Lose it. I don't have a wedding party, so there would be no point.

Lose it. Unless you have a very elaborate wedding ceremony or a large wedding party, I don't see the point in telling your guests what's going to happen.

Lose it. It could fit into our budget, but honestly I see majority of them end up in the garbage, so i would rather spend our money somewhere else

Use it! Programs are great for attending other cultural weddings and meanings of steps taking into the marriage.

Wedding party member names and Officiant as well if chosen. Makes a great use of a fan if the weather is hot/humid.

Big use! As a guest of weddings I really appreciate when I know what’s going on and who is who. I also like menu cards for that matter as well. It’s just very organized and communicative

Use it! Our wedding is in the middle of August and there's not as much electricity in our venue (barn in the middle of the country) for electric fans, so I was planning on having paper fans that people can have at their seats to beat the heat. I thought it would be a good idea to have little ceremony programs on each of the fans. I think if we weren't already wanting to use them for fans, we wouldn't be using them.

Losing it. A waste! Just going to print off a nice foam board for people to reference and we will have the wedding website.

Lose them- Agree with Tori- thought was waste of paper. Ceremony will happen and then cocktail hour has been addressed- we will have a sign saying order at the place on a wood pallet type thing

Lose them - it's a waste of paper really. Plus most weddings have the same layout so I don't think guests will mind. We may put up a wooden palette with the details though.
