I know I would never hear the end of it from certain family members for the rest of my life, and I am enjoying the event planning part of it.

True - my parents went through a very messy divorce and to be honest have no idea how they will act when I put them both in the same room. My fiancée had to talk to me off a ledge (figuratively) and reminded me that this is what I have always wanted from the beginning - to have the pretty dress and feel like a princess for one day!

True, we had a hard time with the guest list since I have such a big family but nothing too serious.

False. The big wedding has always been my dream... haven't experience enough issues to even consider not wanting to do it. I've been very fortunate to keep things minimal and under control, and standing up for myself, so I never got overwhelmed being pushed around.

False - I can't wait to share my day with my family and friends.

True. We probably wouldn't actually elope because we do want to share the day with our friends and families but we joke about how we don't care who shows up as long as each other does. We just want to be married!!! I know the wedding day will all be worth it though.

True. Mostly because this is what I've always wanted to do, anyway. I saw a bride and groom on the NYC subway on the way to their courthouse wedding when I was a teenager and nothing has ever seemed so romantic or glamorous.

False, I haven't. I think it will be worth it. We are pretty hard on finances because of our short engagement, so my FH has discussed it but we are not down for losing our deposits!

True! Especially if my mom is making things about her or making planning seem difficult! At the end of the day, I know I do want to have the wedding I'm planning so it keeps me on course!

False- I want our family and friends to be able to be a part of our marriage and witness it. Plus my fiance and I both grew up with siblings that commanded attention so I'm looking forward for us having our day to shine
