Trouble Picking MOH?

Alyssa, on July 7, 2019 at 15:55 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10
Hi everyone! So I’m planning on having 4 bridesmaids, the trouble is that they are ALL my best friends and I’ve known them all my life. Is it totally necessary to pick a maid of honour? I don’t know what I would base it on and am scared to hurt anyone’s feelings. Could I just have them all take on the “duties” of MOH together?

Hi Alyssa, have you decided if you were going to designate one of girls as maid of honour? I like Kat D's idea of giving them all a title or if they are all equally important to you could pull a name out of a hat to ensure you have someone that will be signing your paperwork.

You base it on who is the closest that know you better, choose that individual. Keep them as bridesmaids if no MOH is chosen and that's fair to do.

Our wedding party only had 4 people and they were 2 MOHs and 2 BM (Best Man) since their wasn't anyone else to consider for bridesmaid(s).

If you feel they are all on the same “level” then forgo having a moh, you don’t need to have one, or you could make of titles for all of your ‘maids. I was in a wedding where I was the Maid of Awesome ☺️

I have a MOH - but her only extra duties are to sign the form and give a speech with another bridesmaid. We haven't really advertised we have a MOH mostly because I feel like they are all bridesmaids who are equal

I would say that it's fine to forgo having a single MOH - but maybe you could just talk to your friends and maybe you guys can work something out like, you'll have ___ as MOH, they will have ____, and so on.

The best thing about planning your wedding, is you can literally do it any way you want, and there is no right or wrong thing to do! I would for sure just say they are all taking on MOH duties, without the official title because they are all amazing!

You don’t have to have a maid of honour but remember one of the bridesmaids still has to sign the paper, so u still need to choose one 🙈

I didn't have a maid of honour - just all bridesmaids!

I would have all four girls as bridesmaids if you can’t pick one girl, like Caitlyn said!

You don’t have to designate a MOH, you can have all four girls be bridesmaids if you want.
