Hey! Congrats everyone!

I was wondering what you all are doing for transportation for your weddings. We are getting married in May. The wedding ceremony/reception site is the same place but we are looking at transportation to pick up the wedding parties to transport to the pre-ceremony photo session and then to the wedding site nearby. We are also wondering about transportation after the reception to return our families to the main hotel and then one residence drop after. We are debating a limo service, and have been quoted $600-800 for 4 hours. I was thinking of renting a school bus. It's honestly the thing I know least about and don't need something super fancy. Any thoughts? If you have any vendor recommendations that would be great.

School bus is a nice idea for pictures though it doesn't scream Wedding. Limo or party version would be good for the pictures. Transportation wise, it does get you all there together too as planning.

If I was in BC I for sure would! One tip you can use is to not mention "wedding". We all know how companies love to charge more just because it is for a wedding.

I think a school bus or coach bus is a great idea. If Lyft and Uber were options in BC we'd use them.

Our ceremony and reception are at the same location as well. We are only doing limo to get to the first look and pre ceremony pictures for the wedding party, and then to the ceremony.
We will then get a smaller limo to take us to where we are staying the night of the wedding.

We're still trying to plan everything out, but right now, the general plan is to rent everything from Turo instead of going with a limo company. Our coordinator has told us a few horror stories about limos being late or not even showing up, so we want to steer clear of that.

We are hiring 3 limos! 2 smaller ones to pick up myself and bridesmaids to go to the church and same for the guys in their own! After we have a limo bus that will be driving us around for photos and things and then back to the venue! We were quotes $1000 for 2 one way limos and a bus for 3 hours so your pricing seems pretty close!
