To bra or not to bra

Alie, on November 28, 2018 at 23:44 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 10
So i got THE dress. A pretty stapless number for my F cup tatas... Whats the best option for a bra? Sewn in cups? Adding straps to the dress so i can wear a "regular" bra?? Last strapless bra i tried on flipped doen and exposed my tatas... Opinions?

I would look to adding straps. and either wear a regular bra or get cups sewn in. I would just want the extra support.

my dress has straps. and i'm gonna have cups sewn in (the back of my dress is low...and I don't want to deal with finding a bra for it). i'm a DD.

Nooo never ever to judge!!! It's a beautiful dress! You look great in it! However it does seem to be on the less structured side (in comparison to mine). I think you may feel most comfortable if you added a strap option so you can conceal a nice, supportive bra. Especially if you're not used to strapless, even your posture changes. I know in my grad dress in high school, the dress was a corset and mostly supportive, so I went no bra, but it started to 'droop' and so many of my photos are my with my shoulders hunched or up around my ears trying to conceal my bust (like that could happen... haha)...

I would definitely try it with no bra, take some photos, and just compare them to this photo. If it looks similar, and you're comfortable, sew in some cups and go for it... if you find the structure of the dress changes, you may want to go with the straps/added support.

    #bigboobproblems haha.

What's the bodice of your dress like? Like Tori said, mine's a corset as well, I have F size cups (DDD), and I did a sewn in cup on one side (they don't quite match, haha)... and they stay in completely fine! It would actually be more uncomfortable for me to put a strapless bra in there with them...

I think if your dress is structured, sewn in cups for a little support/guidance is plenty. If it's not structured enough to support the girls on their own, then add straps.

Then it didn't fit right. Smiley smile Likely, it was too small in the body - for some reason, ladies think a bustier has to be stupidly tight in the body to stay put; it doesn't.

But you have to do what works for you.

I'm in the same boat - I'm considering a bustier, if I can find one - then I have the support of the boning all the way down my torso, which will support my large DD's without the cups having to do all the work.

Don't suppose your dress is a corset? lol I know that my G/H cups can stay up no problem in a corset dress! lol (Grade 12 Grad dress)

If you are set on the strapless look though, I haven't tried it, but here is the discussion where I was told what bras would be okay for the tig bitties: Stressed about not having a strapless bra?

I would add straps and wear a regular bra if I were you. I have large D's and decided against strapless for that very reason (dress falling down and wanting to wear a regular bra).
