Tipping on a gifted service?

My photographer who is a phenomenal wedding photographer and is generally very pricy offered to do our wedding as a gift. Do we still tip her? We want to give her a gift and if we were paying her we would be tipping, but where it’s a gift I’m wondering if it would be weird to tip?

I also have a beautiful creative friend who has been tirelessly looking for anything and everything as far as videography and photos goes. It is our gift from her but I am definitely gifting with a special card.

It depends on your relationship to them. If you know them personally, a thank you card and small gift would be a nice gesture.

I would suggest a nice thank you card and a bottle of wine instead of a tip since it is a gift.

Typically if the person owns their company you don't tip. Also, it was a gift that she is giving to you. A nice thank you note would suffice.

A nice gift as part of the thank you note you send after the wedding would be a great way to show your appreciation for such a generous gift.
