Timeline for 2pm Wedding?

TayCath36, on May 16, 2018 at 16:37 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 4

I'm not sure what my timeline should look like.

Since our wedding is very intimate, my fiance and I will only have a maid of honor and a best man. This means that only my maid of honor and I will need hair and makeup done. The make up artist will also do my mother's makeup.

We're having a Catholic ceremony which will last about an hour. Our cocktail hour begins at 4 and then we will have a dinner reception beginning at 5; we are simply entertaining our guests at our favorite restaurant. We love the food there and it's the perfect venue for 33 guests.

Any ideas for a timeline?

Hi TayCath! Some other things to consider when you're planning your timeline are

-your MUA who will advise you about how much time they need

-whether or not you're doing a first look

-whether you're taking any getting ready pictures or portraits before the wedding

    -time to eat

    -travel time and traffic

We are starting earlier too with a ceremony start of 3pm. We are doing a first look and our family photos done all before the ceremony starts so that we aren't very rushed after the ceremony.

Good idea! I was thinking of starting at 10AM but maybe an earlier start is necessary.

Even though there are only 2 of you who need hair and makeup I would start around 9am. That will give you a lot of time to relax and slowly get into your dress. It also allows for more time for pictures before the ceremony.
