Hi everyone!
I’m considering a venue where the ceremony would be at 2:30pm-3pm with the cocktail hour starting at 5pm (at the reception location located 11 minutes away from ceremony location) with dinner starting at 6pm.
Lots of people will be staying Niagara the night of the wedding (if not the night before). Is that too much time for guests to get “bored”? For those, that is, who won’t either be checking into or going back to local hotel rooms?
The other option is a 5pm-5:30pm ceremony. Our wedding will be late October which would only give us 45 minutes before sunset and I don’t want to be rushed with photos. Cocktail hour would then start around 6pm with dinner starting at 7pm.
Please let me know any and all thoughts!

    Hi Zoe,

I don't think a 2 hr. break is the worst, I've been to longer but, I do think it's long...as it can be really awkward especially for those who are not staying over as you wouldn't want to go eat or anything in between. Are you needing that much time for photos?
