Time to de -stress ......

Hello Ladies,

As we all know wedding planning can be hectic, exciting, overwhelming, and very stressful.. So I decided to start this discussion to see how what methods each of you use to take some "ME TIME" to De-Stress and unwind and put the wedding planning down and walk away ... What do you do?

Take a bath.... read a book..... go to the gym.... curl up and watch a movie... have a spa day ... Yoga .......spend time with the girls??

How do you De-Stress ???

    I live in AB but am getting married in my hometown in NB... Luckily my mom is there and one of my bridesmaids will be there 2 months before the wedding, otherwise planning would be even more stressful.

    I walk my dog... Walking by myself doesn't do it since I'm all up in my head... Watching my 70 lb dog prancing around like a poodle keeps me in the moment and out of my head... Just wish he could come home with me for the wedding but he is to big to fly (wouldn't put him through that anyway) and it's too long of a drive... Maybe I can borrow someones dog when I get there... Lol

    Also I'm looking to workout again as a way to bring back the energy and to stay fit. I wanted to do this for a long time since 2014 but things got in the way. Hopefully I wil make more of an effort to follow through.

    Lol I love. There are apps out there use. There are also groups of people that will go out and interact with one another to colour.

    its that time of the year... everyone is starting to get sick... fingers crossed i make it out this winter without too much sickness ... altho my kid brings home everything ... dirty little buggers lol Smiley laugh

    HAHA I was definitely evil laughing in my head!!

    Oh agreed... I hate paying for something and not getting the full use, so I hate missing the classes too. But yesterday I was panting, coughing up a lung, and dying after a leisurely walk up the street at lunch Smiley xd

    I like to have a bubble bath, with a candle and a good book! I also enjoy shopping! Or just sitting in bed with my kitties watching netflix!

    DONE! And I want pictures to prove you went!!!! Though there needs to be some sort of punishment if you don't go... I need a power to wield.... Smiley surprise WW bans!!!!     Yeah working out makes me want to punch someone lol ... it is not a stress reliever for me at all .. seems more like a chore and stresses me out even more that i am not doing it as much as I should !Smiley surprise

    Get on that class!!! I wanna know all about it! Are you going to the class with someone? I found that helps to make me accountable. FH is giving me a hard time about missing the gym this week even though I've been crazy sick (I'm coughing constantly while sitting on the cough, I can't function on any gym equipment)

    I thought it would be nice for us to all share our ideas on how we deal with it to help each other out! we are all here for each other and need to be able to lean on each other for advice and help when needed and this I think is an important topic!

    Well now, I don't just want to go sround hitting people. I'm not a barbarian! (although, it might offer stress relief!) Smiley tongue

    We are the same- I make to-do lists and get stressed while I run or lift...thats why I thought the trampline class would be great. STILL have manged to put it off for 2 weeks Smiley sad

    And I'm with you... every time I'm in a bad mood and someone tries to convince me that working out helps, I want to find them after my workout and slap them. I definitely do not find it destressing at all, in fact it makes me focus on things more because my brain is bored and has nothing else to do

    Believe it or not this app helps me alot! It's great to chat and bounce ideas off of people when my life is so crazy!! I try to meditate sometimes, and should do it more often! Actually in reading your post I really I should be doing all these things you suggest more often, and now I'm stressed thinking about it! HA HA Looking forward to reading others posts on this one! Smiley smile
