I've been an event planner for years and I find it overwhelming so you're definitely not alone.
I'd just try not to focus on the details and see where you feel the best. Then pick your top few and go though details. Then picture your wedding in those places and see which one you want the most.

I did. I really liked the second hall the most. Just seeing it all decorated for a wedding really made it seem more real.

It was overwhelming for me as well. We saw I think 10 different halls in total because I wanted to make sure I could see the places in person, get all the prices, and pick the one that best met my needs. We spread it out over two weekends, and then I saw I think 2 venues without my FH there because it was during the week and he was at work so I went with my friend Amanda. We saw 3 in one day and that was a lot of driving around but after it was all said and done I was happy we saw all of the venues because then I knew what I wanted!

I was doing that, but we were going to be in the area and I though, "why not kill two birds with one stone and take a look and possibly get better prices." Which I did get better prices.

What about narrowing things down online first instead of looking at everything in person? I did that and then decided they were all too pricey so we are getting married at my school!
