Theme matching dress colour ?

Megan, on July 7, 2019 at 14:26 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 5

We are doing a wedding at a barn and having burlap table runners, centrepieces with wooden slabs and mason jars my issue is ...I want to do wildflower bouquets with black bridesmaid dresses. would the black BM dresses look weird with a rustic theme?

This helped a ton, thank you.

I plan on using azazie for my BM dresses and you can get a sample for 10.00 so I may be able to get one and kinda throw a few things together to see how it all works

I agree with Taylor - perhaps you could bring some wildflowers with you when you go look for BM dresses to really see what it would look like? I did a quick google and this popped up (not sure if these are wildflowers, but they don't look half bad):

I honestly think it'll come down to the type of dresses they're wearing.

If we're talking traditional floor-length gowns then it may stand out a little in photos. But as Caitlyn mentioned, because black is such a universal colour, if you go with a shorter more cocktail style it may look a little off.

Keep in mind the lighting of your venue space, if it's a little darker you can get away with just about anything. But if it is a lighter more airy venue then it may stand out more.

Black might be a bit harsh. id consider more of a navy blue or another dark color or even like gunmetal grey. my first choice would be navy blue. im all for black but i think it would be too harsh with wildflowers

I don’t think they would look weird. Black is so universal and you can make it work with any theme.
