The Fear is Real..

Rebecca O, on May 19, 2021 at 18:00 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10

Hello! Are there any other ladies that will be getting married this time next year? I am still so nervous to plan for our original number of guests (140) but I am hopeful that this whole covid thing wont be so crazy by then in regards to restrictions. My fiancé is very set on waiting right up until our wedding before we send invites so we "don't have to tell people they can't come anymore" if restrictions change. Does anyone else feel this way too? I hope I'm not the only one Smiley atonished Smiley ring

That is so exciting! And yes we definitely won’t be sending them out until 2022!! Hoping things clear up a bit more by then! Sending positive vibes as well! 😊

Yes! Wishing you the best! The waiting is the hardest part! I feel confident things will be better, but at the same time I want to be open to the possibility of things changing again just in case! We aren’t I a rush either but we are ready to move on to the next chapter of our lives and don’t want to push the wedding back any further!

I’m June next year- and I think you can definitely wait on the invites. Things will definitely be looking more optimistic for next summer.... and I think people might still be a bit gun shy to plan to attend weddings right now... so I think it’s safe to say you have some time. I am planning to send out invites (a third time...) February/March next year for June 18th.
I’m very excited for you and your plans! Sending positive vibes for us brides who are still planning bigger weddings🥰

Definitely feel the same! We had our ceremony in November of last year and we're planning to do a reception but we're afraid of having to move it again so we're just waiting until it's really clear the restrictions will be lifted long term. The rational part of me is pretty confident things will be much more normal next spring/summer though so we probably could book something if we were in a rush. Fortunately we're not so we'll just wait and see what happens.

Hey! I'm on the same boat as you! Getting married next May and I was planning on getting our invites out by next month since we're inviting people that are out of the country so I want to make sure we plan way ahead of time. I'm really really hoping that everything's at least sorta normal by then! We only have 60 guests, so i'm hoping if international people aren't able to come we can at least do a 50 person wedding.

    Hello Rebecca,
    Congratulations!!
You can wait up to 7 months or 6 months to send out invitations. With everyone now planning to get vaccines. It should be fine by next year. I hope this don’t cause more stress for you. I wish both of you luck in planning! Cheers 🥂

For sure. I had no intentions of sending them out anytime soon. We will hope for the best I suppose

Saskatchewan's Premier is very much anti-lockdown and pro-open the economy. Take that for what it's worth.

But I agree with your fiance, I think the invites can wait a bit. Not necessarily up to right before the wedding but you certainly don't need to send them out right now.
