The Best of Canada - The best Canadian delicacy to serve for dinner

Joey, on July 1, 2019 at 09:55 Posted in Wedding reception 0 22

Poutine? Nanaimo bars? Lobster rolls? A stack of Timbits as your wedding cake? Some seriously OTT caesars during your cocktail hour (they are perfect because they can double as your cocktail and your appetizers!)? What quintessentially Canadian dish is a must for a wedding menu? What will you be serving?

Poutine! Has to be real cheese curds and they have to be cold on hot sauce, no grated cheese.

We're not having any of those listed in the question, but we'd probably pick poutines. They are so delicious.

We will have poutine for the late night snack. It just happened to be included, not planned as our way to celebrate being married in Canada 😂

My fiance and I would love poutine as our main meal but he has celiac disease so that probably wouldn't work :/

Surprised no one has said buttertarts yet. But those would go great on a dessert table.

Our selection didn't have anything Canadian per say. It was really just sandwiches, veggies and fruits for the late night buffet and apps of 5 selections served.

It would have been nice to include bacon or something Canadian next time.

Caesars are a big hit with our family! So those will be flowing! We thought of a poutine bar but it’s too messy

Don't have a clue what we're doing about food yet, but poutine would be awesomeee. Or a late-night Timbit run.

Caesars! I love Caesars so much. Also wish I could have poutine for a late night snack. We might have lobster on our menu? Not really sure. It’s on the ocean so I am assuming there will be a lot of seafood.

My husband really wanted a poutine bar but I don't really like poutine so he didn't push for it.
But timbits would have been great!
