LOL this one's funny. A fundraising event though, in the wedding sense.

And I agree with all the BC brides... they just don't happen in BC... ever... odd. But it really should, considering the cost of wedding here!!!

Haha, I know! The first time I heard it was a coworkers friend was having one...in Ontario too. Yeah I don’t know why it’s not a thing here considering how expensive things are in Vancouver.

Interesting! They’re so common here (Ontario) that I just assumed it was a thing lol.

Looks like Daphne is from BC. I am too and I have heard of them but don't know of anyone who has had them.

That’s interesting that they don’t that’s in an entire province! Just curious, what province are you from?

    B) I am from a small town in Ontario and they are incredibly common - around here guests don't necessarily see them as a fundraiser or "money grab" like I've seen them called - to a small town where there's nothing better to do it's a great reason to party and drink for cheap! I mean who doesn't want a great excuse to play games, have a few drinks and spend a night with loved ones and friends (usually everyone from your friends, coworkers and grandma shows up).

Since they are common to Ottawa Valley folk I've already been asked numerous times if and when we're having ours.

For wedding purposes B, but these are not common in Alberta. I have never been to one or heard of anyone having one.
