Teeth Whitening

JENNIFER, on October 10, 2017 at 13:01 Posted in Beauty 0 16
Hey Ladies. Any idea of when and how is best to do teeth whitening? We’re looking to keep it affordable so I’m thinking Crest White Strips just don’t know how long it takes and when we should start. Our wedding is in 9 weeks. We aren’t smokers or coffee drinkers. Any advice?

Hi Ladies. I’m using two products.

    1) Crest 3D Whitestrips Supreme Flexfit which has 21 treatments (both top and bottom). You leave them in for an hour and can do the treatment once a day. There is and upper and lower strip included in each treatment. When applying you just need to make sure you press the strip into the surfaces between the teeth. The effects should last for up to 18 months (so the package says). I think I got this from Walmart for about $80 but if it works and lasts for as long as it claims I’m hoping it will be a good investment. Basically it’s 3 weeks for treatment but I’ve been so busy I’ve had a hard time doing it every night so in the next 15 days I’m going to have to do as many treatments as I can.

    2) Crest 3D White Brilliance 2 step deep cleansing toothpaste & whitening finisher. The instructions are to brush with step 1 for 1 minute then without spitting brush with step 2 for an additional 1 minute. This product I’m trying to use once a day before bed. I bought two packs off amazon but I don’t think I got a deal really as I’ve seen for sale at Walmart etc for the same price. I don’t particularly care for the taste and texture.

On a side note I had done a whitening at the dentist years ago (a cheap version) and didn’t see any “real” results from that. This time around I definitely didn’t have the money to do anything professional from the dentist.

So far I can see a difference but I didn’t take a before picture as Handsome suggested I should. Attached is a photo with the tissue test from today haha I’ll post another one just before the wedding and hopefully see a difference.

Keep you posted! Happy planning ladies Smiley smile

Do you know how long it generally lasts for after you have the procedure done at the dentist?

I used whitening toothpaste for 3 months plus Crest White Strips for 4 weeks. It made a slight difference but not huge. I would suggest going to the dentist for this. It costs about $300.00 but the results are much better. There are also some make up places in the malls that do teeth whitening but I have no idea about the result. I checked one and it was $100.00. Can't remember the name of the store anymore.

It works great. they also have a mint flavour too! but definitely use the discount code cause the regular price of the kit can be expensive.

Our wedding is in 4 days. We shared a box of 20 white strips and started 11 days before the wedding. We don't drink coffee or smoke either so our teeth are already pretty white. With only 4 days left I have noticed my teeth are already looking very white

I would start now to ensure you can get to the level of white you are looking for and if you get there before the 9 weeks, then you'll be fine for the wedding since the results will last for several months. I only touch up once a year now to keep the white level I have.

If your wedding is in 9 weeks, I would start soon. The strips usually start to make a difference in 2 weeks, but the results last for a while. It might be a good idea to start now to make sure you get the results you want and that way if they don't work, you still have time to try alternative methods.
