We are planning a suprise wedding, disguising it as an engagement party. Anyone here have done a suprise wedding before? Any tips?

    Wow! That's an interesting concept! I agree with Daphne that you will have to be prepared for some people to skip it due to thinking they will make it up at the wedding and also as it is NYE. I'm sure those who do make it will be so shocked and thrilled!

    Thanks everyone. We are planning a nye 2018 wedding. It's my 2nd and I really don't like all the drama leading up to the wedding. It was his idea. My moh knows as I can't do this on my own, my bestman knows also cause he is the only one coming from out of town. We are also going to tell my parents cause they will kill me otherwise lol.
    Just hoping to find someone on here that might have done it before.

    Be prepared that some people might not show/will cancel thinking that they'll make it up by being at the wedding. That's the only caveat to making it a surprise wedding. People don't feel as bad not making it to an engagement party knowing that they'll be going to the wedding later on.

    Those who will be there will for sure love it.
