Summer Wedding Budget

Nadege, on October 29, 2019 at 21:11 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 7
My FH and I have set a budget of $21,000 for our summer wedding. We have our venue booked for June 11/2021, and we planned it in a way to have realistic saving goals instead of trying to do too much too fast.
We’ve already booked our venue, which is just over $15,000. But this includes the ceremony, as well as all food and drinks needed. Our venue also provides some decor for the ceremony itself. How realistic do you think it is to plan the rest of our wedding with a $6,000 budget? We’re not big on videography, and would likely only want a photographer for the ceremony and first look pictures.

Its doable you just have to price shop around. dont pick the first vendors you meet. tell them your budget and stick to it!

Should be doable - but you will need to be on the lower end of things for everything and maybe DIY some stuff like Hair & Makeup?

I know other than the venue/food/booze the DJ was next most expensive and then the Photographer.

Maybe you could get a second hand dress, or find a student photographer?

I think if you plan you can get everything else within your $6000 budget. Luckily you have enough time to do any DIY projects you think you can do. If you know what you want it'll be fine.

It’ll be on the smaller side. We’re aiming for 100 guests, give or take. So that makes it easier in terms of numbers of tables and centrepieces. I already have some thoughts as to what the wedding favour would be to stick within a good budget.
Thanks for the feedback Smiley smile I appreciate all the help!

Our venue has an outline for payments over the next year and a while, so it was perfect for us to plan our savings to a date that would be manageable.
And thanks Smiley smile! The photographer and music is what makes me the most anxious in terms of cost. But we’re just going to do a lot of research before going for anything

Your leftover budget is our whole budget!

Unless you fall in love with a really expensive dress or photographer you should have no problem fitting everything else into that budget.

You have covered a lot that is needed for the day required. Flowers will be needed if you choose to go real or artificial based on the colours and types. Wedding cake is another thing to consider for the amount of guests attending. Head table for the family/wedding party or Sweetheart Table for you both only?

There are some things the venue will provide and if you have linens that you do want to choose upon colours that may not be provided, that has to be looked into as well. Its the small details that will matter to know what will be needed upon the style and choices to make your reception the way you want it.
