Summer and spring weddings in Alberta

Ashley, on July 26, 2017 at 19:49 Posted in Alberta 0 6

Hello fellow Alberta Brides!!! As next year approaches quicker than I thought, I'm wondering what brides share the same worry about weather for pictures. I do have back up venue for pictures inside but ideally would like my pictures to be outside. I'm hoping positive thoughts will keep the rain away the day of the wedding. But if it happens is happens. I have come to the realization that mother nature can not be stopped, so you just have to accept what she throws at you, even though it gets in the way of what we want sometimes. After all, one light bit of rain isn't going to ruin my wedding day. Hope all the other brides out there have thought of weather when taking into consideration where they want their photos taken. Cheers beautiful brides!!! Smiley ring

We have thought about weather. Our venue has an indoor ceremony space so that is settled. We met with our photographers at the venue, and the one has some ideas for indoor pictures there, so that's one of the reasons I wanted to hire them. Just hoping the rain holds off. Or, if it rains, that it's light enough that we can still get some pictures taken outside.

We worry about the same thing. The city we live in doesnt offer much for indoor ceremony venues so this is still something we have to figure out. I also worry about the heat in the middle of the summer. What does your day of time line work like? Fingers crossed

Yes our ceremony is indoor thank god, but our wedding pictures I have outdoor planned, but also have an indoor venue set up that will be super cute for us as well.

We are getting married in April in Toronto, so there is always a chance of rain, or snow, or both! We still haven't decided where the pictures are happening, but a place that has both indoor and outdoor space is definitely something we would need Smiley smile

We have thought about weather for sure! If it rains it rains and we will adapt and certainly this year no one will be complaining about rain no matter what day we get it! Smiley smile

    Hi Ashley!

You are totally right, no one can really stop Mother Nature from acting! Speaking of, I've found some discussions that might give some clues as to what to do if inclement weather is expected on your wedding day:

How scared are you that it will rain on your wedding day?

What is your plan B in case it rains?

Tips for an outdoor wedding. Mind the wind!

Have you decided on an alternate plan for your wedding day in case the weather doesn't cooperate? Smiley love
