I hope so too! Yes we are getting married in July 2023. I'm not too worried about it being too early since it really is just celebrating the fact that we are engaged, plus there will be lots of other things leading up to the wedding like the buck and doe, bach parties and bridal shower so it's nice to do something now.

That's too funny! I'm actually in nursing school as well, I will graduate in April 2023 so gives me a little gap before the wedding. There's no time for weddings during nursing school lol. Congratulations to you as well!

Also a summer 2023 bride here. My fiancé and I got engaged January 2021, and between covid and to give us ample time to plan and save (I’m just finishing up my nursing degree so I’m ready to get out there and work, haha) we decided on July 1, 2023. We’ve also decided on a venue, as we’re going to have an outdoors/tent wedding on my future in-laws property. While part of me is really impatient and just wants to get on with the planning already, I’m also relieved that I don’t have to rush planning a wedding straight out of school, and have the time to plan the wedding we want to have!

View quoted message Thank you! Yes the venue was the one thing I wanted to lock down ASAP because I know there will be a lot of people postponing due to COVID. I had the same problem with venues. Eventually I just saw a couple even though I wasn’t 100% sure and I ended up falling in love the venue we picked.

Congrats on your recent engagement I also have been engaged for only a short time and will be planning for the wedding to be in May of 2023. As soon as my fiancé gets back we will be looking at venues and probably book so far ahead as well. Finding a venue has been the most stressful for me, I am so picky. So I rather book it as soon as I can and work from there.

Congratulations! It's definitely a big relief once the venue is chosen and you have a firm date!
