Baria, on May 27, 2020 at 13:13 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6
Hello to all beautiful summer brides of 2021.

I'm trying to connect with all summer brides of that year to share planning ideas.
My WD is july 17th 2021, I have almost everything booked except the celebrant, hair/make and dresses. .With everything going on, delays in delivery and all, when are you planning on starting dress shopping?

    Welcome Baria

WD for me is Aug 1 2021. I have been doing more researching and have ideas, I am trying to shop for the best price service for a decorator and photographer. Hall was booked in Feb so at least that is off my plate. going to shop this friday with my MOH and my daughter for dress shopping.

I still have plenty to do, the planning is fun so far, hope to book most things before the fall

I would start dress shopping as soon as you can! It's never too early!!

My original wedding date was August 8 2020 but have postponed until next summer. I had gone dress shopping in January 2019. Found my dream dress and had to order it in my size. It took 7 months for it to come in. It came to the bridal store July 2019. I'm glad that I went early just because! And who would of thought that we would be in a world pandemic and everything being shut down for months! I have my dress at my parents place so when the time is right, I can go get it fitted for my wedding on August 7 2021

    Hi Baria,

I am getting married on July 10, 2021. We booked our venue back in December and fortunately they provide the caterer, DJ and flowers so we don't have to worry about booking those. I bought my dress two weekends ago. It was certainly strange given all the COVID procedures but the shop did an incredible job and set my bridal party up on zoom so they could 'be there' with me! My dress is now scheduled to arrive at the end of September, which if it's on time will be very early but at least it's another thing checked off the list!

Hey girl! I'm June 26 2021 and we just booked our venue yesterday lol. My first dress shopping experience was pretty terrible but have another appointment on Wednesday to try on dresses all by myself! I think this is what I need to do to feel more comfortable. I know a ball gown suits my body best but I want to go and try some Alines and some dresses out of my comfort zone. Luckily our venue is all inclusive so everything is pretty much set except the dresses.

Welcome Baria! You've done great getting that much planned already! Have you done some online browsing for dress ideas? Is there a style or designer you're gravitating towards?

I don't know whether your dress shopping experience is being hindered by COVID but if it is we talked so some bridal salons to get their expertise and tips - How to Get the Wedding Dress Shopping Experience From Home During COVID-19
