Rustic Elegance. I always saymy hubby and I are like beauty and the beast (also my fave movie ever) i tried to convince that a beauty and the beast theme would be amazing. I half wanted this but was also half joking.


So rustic outdoorsy dark wood rough around the edges with beautiful tablewear and flowers. Its him and I to a T. He is this burly man with a beard, i love pretty elegant things.
First pic is our venue. Second is my inspo. Burgundy bridesmaids in the winter. We have gorgeous grey fur shalls. Third is my inspo for center pieces and the 4th pic is what i tried to convince my FH that beauty and the beast could work. He is however wearing a beautiful blue tuxedo. Its a win for me.

So I guess answering your actual question instead of just a pile of pictures lol i thought I wanted a rustic barn wedding but this is so elegant and I’m happy to have so much outdoors. There’s like nothing rustic lol but i love it.

I’m going to post a bunch of pictures because I’m having a hard time choosing what to show. Our wedding is at viewpointe winery which backs onto a lavender farm so we will have photos in the lavender fields and in the winery and by the water. And then the dinner for the dinner and reception we have two rooms booked but I think it’s going to be downsized to the old style room with the chandeliers for the dinner and no reception.

Even better if there's an excuse to go someplace when it's cold out! I'm with you on that, we've been planning for 3 and a half years now since having to postpone once already and it looks like we'll be postponing a second time. We'll have the wedding we've been dreaming of at some point

Modern elegance as simple as can be is what we had for our wedding. The venue huge flowers pot at the ceremony while the reception had gorgeous windows for the natural light as the picture you have and just one vase with white floral ball each table. Our colours were white, black and red. Our cake matched the colour of the invitations/Thank you card with dog paws to remember our dog Peanut presence.

We originally wanted a winter wonderland wedding where we are cozy and warm inside a ballroom, dancing under chandeliers while being able to look out at the snow through of floor to ceiling windows. Then covid came and stuck around so all of that is thrown out the window lol.

We're still using the country club but rather than being in the ballroom, it'll now be a summer garden wedding.

My vision slowly evolved. We knew we wanted the full dinner, dancing, alcohol party fun type of wedding. We decided that the cost plus the ability to get days off work (both of us work at places where summer is hard to get off, while they would allow us to have the weekend off for our wedding some important guests may not also be able to) made a winter wedding our number one choice. I am not a big winter fan but I figure when anniversaries come up what better excuse could we have to find a warm destination anniversary present each year 🤣. Add to that that I love the sparkle of snow before you step on it. It has always enchanted me. So winter wonderland slowly evolved into our theme. We started with red, pinks, silver and blacks but because I was having such a hard time finding the perfect red we changed totally to purples with the silver and black. I think the purples will set off the twinkle of the glitter that will find its way into the decorations. Also with us wanting to keep travel to a minimum for guests we are having ceremony and reception, no picture taking in between, so it'll be a later wedding making it a bit more formal. We want to use the day for first look so we can take advantage of the natural light. I guess we have been planning closer to 7 years now. As soon as we thought we were almost there we ended up with a curve again but once we get there (no matter what goes wrong on the day, cause something always does) it'll be a great day.

I'm actually not even sure how to describe our wedding style. Our colours are blush, silver, grey and white. Our centerpieces will be silver wine bottles with flowers. I plan to have alot of glass signs in silver picture frames!

Oh my god I love summerhill pyramid! It's gorgeous!! We looked at this venue too and it was definitely one of our top contenders. We are also getting married at a winery in the Okanagan.

I didn't really think I had a theme for my wedding till I sat down with her and "enchanted forest" came out of my mouth 😂
She's a genius and is really helping to bring our outdoor tent wedding to life!!
Think greenery draping, floral centerpieces, wood, and twinkle lights.
