Stupid Mistakes

Judice, on October 31, 2019 at 18:17 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 15

I'm strating to make the most stupid timing mistakes as i get closer to the wedding.

I mean some of them aren't so bad like double booking the florist with the makeup trial but some other ones I did earlier on that nearly cost the wedding like placing on the invitation that the start time was 11:30am instead of the 11:00am that the venue had.

Thankfully we were able to change everything but it man I need to stop making mistakes like this. Could it be nerves?

Thanks for advice! Will double check and keep list of all I have booked or have not! Since my wedding is only next year! I could forget something as well! Smiley smile

I am a very busy person on a regular basis, so I use the calendar on the phone for appointments. As soon as they are booked dates, times and locations are put into the phone calendar. When booking additional appointments I consult it to see that I am free and available. I think wedding planning can get confusing with the crazy amount of details and it helps to use tools to keeps us straight!

Thanks! I've gotten him a lot more involved lately and it has really helped in a lot of the confusion I was experiencing. Sometimes letting up a little bit of control can really help!

I think youre just over thinking everything and making mistakes. you want to make sure everything is perfect. maybe have someone like your FH double check things just in case!

I DO, have a day-of-coordinator and I should probably use her more. I guess this is what happens when you are way too type A and want to control everything; you just end up messing everything up.

This is exactly what I'm feeling.

If I'm not double booking something than I am triple checking everything like crazy! Honestly bless day-of-coordinators I don't know how they do it.

Is someone there that can help you?

Do you have a second set of eyes to run things by?

    It could just be nerves.

I was double checking everything all the time just to make sure I didn't miss everything. I even had multiple calendars to make sure I didn't double book something!

Thanks! I'm a Legal Assistant, at least half my day is reminding someone about upcoming deadlines. It just comes naturally now.

It's probably just the stress. It might help to have someone with a bit more distance know about appointments and do a little proof reading. Maybe an organized bridesmaid who can send you a text or an email reminder!

Believe it or not, I actually do have a calendar And it's ironically enough the way I've been finding out about the double bookings.

I would agree the last month has a ton of appointments and we're it not for my day of coordinator I think I would've messed up a lot of stuff no one tells you how hard it is to make a timeline and confirm things.

Do you have a calendar?! FH and I have a family calendar we’ve set up on our phones where we enter our appointments, etc. And can see what the other person has going on!

This might just help keep everything organized! There’s a lot of appointments so I don’t blame you for getting dates mixed up!
