Struggling with a Decision! Fiancé's wedding band.

Shannon, on September 10, 2019 at 20:21 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 12
Hi there! My fiance is having an awful struggle trying to choose between the rings in the first 2 pictures. He originally thought he wanted the plain classic rose gold band, because it's timeless, but then we stumbled on the 2nd ring pictured and he likes it as well.

He's an outdoorsy guy, but he's also a fan of timeless classic pieces so he's just not swayed either way. He likes that the wooden one because it is unique but is worried it's just a phase or it will lose its uniqueness after a while.

My engagement ring is the 3rd pictured, and my wedding band is the 4th.

What do you guys think of the first 2 rings? Which one is your favourite? Heard any bad things about wooden rings? Hate one and like the other? Open to any thoughts!

I definitely like the second ring more, but it is more trendy and "now". It's certainly not as timeless as the first one. My DH went with something a little different too (his ring is black) and he loves it now, but I don't know if I can imagine him wearing it when he's 60 lol.

I personally like the wooden ring more, it's very unique but still goes with your rings. I do see where you are coming from with the traditional/timeless aspect, you can't go wrong with a simple, classic, matching band.

It's a tough decision - is it feasible to get both? That way he could switch it up lol

They are both really nice though I see why you're having a hard time.

He wears 2 watches, one is a brown woodish color and other is rose gold hahaha. But I think the rose gold band would match both well. Good thoughts!

We thought that too, where as the plain one will eventually get all scratched up

I think he's leaning towards the matching one too

I prefer the matching one - my FH likes the wood rings as well but at the end of the day he rather match my rings as they are wedding bands and not -in his opinion- about the fashion of it. He's in the trades and I offered to also get him an enso type of ring but he doesn't want it. He wants a wedding band.

I personally like the traditional one just because it matches yours so nicely.

Both are very nice rings. The wood one is really unique. That’s a really tough decision.
The wooden one will hide any scratches that he may get on it.

That's a really tough choice - they're both so nice! And they both match your rings, which I love. Does he wear other jewellery? Would one look better than the other with what he wears currently? We made sure to consider that when purchasing my FH's band.
