Stressing over nothing?

Kelly, on July 10, 2019 at 08:20 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 8

My wedding is on the 27th of July and everything is booked. The marriage licence has been picked up, the rings have been sized and the guests have RSVP'ed, but I'm still stressed! Everything that still needs to be done are things that can't be completed until later (getting nails done, rehearsal, etc). Do any of you find yourselves stressing over basically nothing? I know that I've completed everything I can control but I find myself going of checklists several times a day!

I would say that control was my thing and going over lists and bags making sure everything was in order and to put the wedding outfits and reception suits with the accessories. I knew what needed to be picked up and where and having the wedding folder with me as well. Vendors that would not provide their service would have seen their contracts and be verified otherwise. That didn't happen Knock on wood and happy about it.

Just know your ok doing what you are and putting last minute details together on paper to make sure you don't forget anything.

I felt I was more stressed during the waiting around/limbo of 7-5 months beforehand. Now I'm busy stuffing invitations, DIYs, and fine-tuning details, but I'm not as stressed oddly enough. I'm also planning from a distance so there is a lot I can't do until I'm in my hometown so the waiting period for that is also a bit stressing.

Waiting around is the worst! Maybe just take some time for yourself. Have an at home spa day with your maids or your mama. Or even by yourself. Watch wedding movies ect. Just take some time to look after yourself.

I completely get it. I just confirmed food and decor with my venue yesterday, and now I am sitting here saying "now what". The big stuff is done, there are many little things I can only do closer to the wedding.

Take a couple days to relax, make a list of little things you need the day of. Water during the day, and pictures. Make sure you have food before so you aren't starving come dinner! Have all your day of must haves for emergencies.

    You are almost there!!!

Lists are best!! The main thing to "worry" about would be you for the day of. Make sure you have your emergency kit ready to go!! This will need band-aids, breath mints, sewing kit, Advil, fishermens friends, lip balm, contact lenses if you wear, etc.

Make sure you know when to wash your hair for your stylist - some want freshly washed hair and others need a day or 2 day old hair to hold curls better or etc.

That and for your dress, if you have strapless or backless or whatnot make sure not to wear your bra the day of your wedding so you avoid any indent marks on you.

Stressing about nothing is my middle name. We're almost 6 months away and have all the major stuff done but I am still panicking.

Just take some deep breaths. You'll be fine. You have your list for your more last minute tasks. You're so close to your wedding day!

My wedding isn’t until next year but I know I’ll be the same. My FH is trying to get me to adopt his calm attitude that everything will be ok.

if you have your lists, I think you’ll be just fine! Time to get excited and enjoy! Woohoo
