Stag & Doe

Brittany, on June 9, 2019 at 11:28 Posted in Before the wedding 0 6
Hello!
We are having a stag and doe in July and I’m wondering if the wedding party members have to purchase a ticket for themselves or do they just come to the event?

The wedding party is free but pay for their own drinks or you can provide them with three drink tickets each or something

That’s what we’ve decided to do! I just haven’t been apart of a wedding before and so wasn’t sure but I’ve been getting similar feed back so that’s what we’ll do!

Our Buck&Doe was 100% planned by one of our bridesmaids, we were very fortunate but she ran this question past us too. We decided if the wedding party members were to help with coordinating games and selling tickets, they did not have to pay to get in for the night as they were already offering their time to help us raise money. If they wanted to just come to party with everyone else and enjoy a few drinks we asked them to each buy tickets - this got the groomsmen in gear to help rather than just party!

I never did when I was a bridesmaid. The wedding party did a lot of the stuff planning and donated raffle prizes. If the wedding party is involved, I don’t think they should have to pay.

For our buck and doe- I thought they would have automatically bought them as our parents did - no one in the wedding party ended up doing this though. We did ask they donate something to the raffle table - thought they would be buying an item- some did buy it and some didn't and just got something donated of more value.

For my wedding social we asked that they did - but we made up for it by supplying the drinks for them. I mean, them paying for the tickets was just an easy way for us to keep track of numbers as they would need one of the tickets (as would we).

In the end it only costs $10 and the social was to raise money so they didn't mind. They are aware that when they have one we would be paying too. (Immediate Family payed as well.)
