Soo... we are getting married tomorrow...!!!!

We had to postpone our wedding (August 23, 2020) and instead of waiting till August to get married, we decided to do it tomorrow. Our new wedding date is May 8, 2021 so we figured lets get married May 8 and do a vow renewal!


Its very small, just immediate family, but I feel like I am forgetting things. We have a marriage commissioner, all our family will be there (socially distanced of course), we are planning on having people come back to our home after for a small gathering and some food.


I have a dress, he has a nice outfit, I didn't want flowers at first, but thought oh crap and emailed my florist early this AM to see if they can squeeze out a bouquet and boutonniere. I am doing my makeup, my girlfriend will do my hair. Her boyfriend is going to take photos. Then our parents got us a hotel room for the night.


What am I missing!!!

    The weather was rainy, then nice, then rainy. just before 3pm the skies opened up and there was torrential rain, hail and thunder lol. Everyone went back to their cars and we all waited it out and wow was it ever beautiful after! Blue sky, sunny, warm. it was wonderful.

    We didnt have any music, nor did we have a cake. But! My sister in law and brother got us a beautiful cake that we cut and served to people and honestly it was such a sweet gesture of them and I could cry thinking about it !

    I let anyone coming know to bring an umbrella just in case. I think the rain has stopped for now. I'll throw a box of Kleenex in the car lol!

    Literally in a field between the 2 houses we both grew up in. We spent our childhoods playing in those fields so we figured it made sense. Plus it's nice and open and has a road for the people who can't be there with us to park and watch!

    So exciting! Congratulations! We did the same thing on April 25th (were supposed to be May 23rd) and are planning a celebration at a later date. We got a cake and did a cake cut and we video called in some immediate family, while it’s definitely not what I envisioned it went well for the most part!

    Ok, what about any readings for the ceremony, breath mints, if your dress is backless/illusion/strapless then make sure to avoid wearing a bra to avoid bra strap lines, uhhhh what else...? Soak it all in!!

    Rings-check BUT fiances doesn't fit properly! So we had to go find a cheap back up one yesterday.

    Masks-lol not us as we live together, but I bet some family will!
