So exciting!

Our wedding is still over a year away, but I'm so happy we've found our perfect venue! It's casual, beautiful and so perfect for us!!! How do you all decide what time to have the ceremony start, I feel like I'll just be picking a random time but want to hear suggestions!

Beautiful! Keep your fingers crossed for good weather. Haven't decided on a time yet, but I've looked at various sample timelines online, and talked to our potential venues about what they've had work for them. We still also have to talk to our officiant about what they need in terms of time and if we have to set aside time after the ceremony to get more done. Otherwise, we're thinking of doing a cocktail hour at 4, ceremony at 5 (5:30 if we're honest) and getting people seated by 6:30.

We're having our ceremony at 4 and it should be done by no later than 4:30 so there is a cocktail time until 6 during which we are taking our photos. Dinner will start at 6ish and go until about 8 and then it's party time. Our ceremony and reception are all in one place as well and it's at the end of Summer beginning of Fall.

Since it is the summer, it should be light out until 9 or 10pm. I am sure you will have plenty of time!

Thanks, I was thinking about 2:30, our ceremony and reception are all at the same place, but would like it to still be light out for a while after for the BBQ and games... so maybe even earlier than 2:30

That will make for a beautiful wedding at that location! We picked 2pm. We are travelling in between the ceremony and the reception for photos, and our ceremony will end around 3pm as it is longer. We then chose 5:30 for the reception to start. This way we have time for photos in between since we have to include travel time, and we decided to keep things on an earlier side since we do have a fair amount of an older crowd coming to the wedding. We want to make sure they are all included in the special events during the evening! Also our friends got married last August and picked the same times for the ceremomy and reception and it worked out nicely for them!
