Small bachelorette

Jessica, on August 12, 2017 at 11:18 Posted in Before the wedding 0 11
So we are still 10 months away from the wedding but I have been dreading my bachelorette. On my side of the wedding is my sister and my male best friend. I have no female friends. My sister has so many ideas of what just she and I can do but I wanted to involve my best friend. She hates the idea since he is male and he is planning my fiances bachelor. Does anyone have any gender neutral SMALL bachelorette ideas?

I am like you I have more male friends attending my wedding than my groom. 8 of my colleagues attending are men - no women. Although I am doing a girls only bachelorette party as my friend/neighbour -not my maid of honour or bridesmaid wanted to plan or organize something for me she is planning it. I just said no strippers or strip club. It will be small I think less than 6 are doing a afternoon/evening. I like tarot card idea and afternoon tea Katherine is doing. We are doing a paint afternoon and dinner afterwards.

I am having small party attending and did not want strippers. I suggested spa day/weekend, winery weekend or the paint night where a small group can paint a common picture and your sip wine. The painting may work if he is not into spas or winery.

Ultimately, you're the bride and your sister should plan something YOU want to do. If you like to relax, go to the spa. If you want to go out and dance, do it. If you want to do a road trip, big or small, go for it! There are so many great ideas that don't have anything to do with being for men or women!

How about a spa day? Men love to be pampered as much as women do. Do you think they all would like that?

We are debating on doing a combined bachelor/bachelorette party. Some people go to comedy clubs, we have a certificate for paintballing we may do for a bonding experience. One of my bridesmaids live in California she suggested Vegas for a long weekend since we got engaged there. There's spa days, all sorts of fun things. We both also love racing go carts.

Me, my sister, best friend and my mom are doing tarot card readings and then going out for afternoon tea.

I'm keeping it low-key going for massages with my bridal party and then heading out to a local food and drink festival. My goal was to relax and have low-key fun.

If you would like to involve your best guy friend then you should feel free to do that - don't get pushed into having a bachelorette that fits someone else's vision!

I had a small bachelorette; we were three total (although all girls). We did dinner, drinks, and loads of silly pictures out and about. It was pretty low key and loads of fun.
The spa & massage idea sounds like a great idea too and also gender neutral.

We are doing a combined bachelor/bachelorette so this is a little different but you could do something like axe throwing and then go to a new restaurant or something.

I have a female MOH and a male bridesmaid also. They are the only two people in my party. I don't really want a bachelorette because I'm very low-key but my MOH suggested we could all maybe go to the spa and swim since They have a pool and all get massages. I think we will also be going to dinner and finishing up with a movie night/ sleepover kind of thing. It's still in the works. But maybe you could something similar? It seems pretty gender neutral I think!
