Silk or real flowers?!

Silk or real flowers?
I’m getting married in July of 2023 and noticing how crazy expensive flowers on.
Any silk past brides have suggestions/tips?

I love real flowers and faux dollar store fliers for the asile vases. I haven’t looked into silk flowers. I believe that works for you and your budget would work. I did not go so extra on real flowers. Rose & ruscus for groom’s boutonnière then baby breath & ruscus for groomsmen. Rose, baby breath and ruscus for bouquets.

We bought bulk roses from Costco, then did bulk ruscus and baby breath. Made the bouquet and boutonnières. Then used the wine bottles for decor. Nowhere else has flowers. Haha.

We are doing real flowers for centrepieces and bridal party flowers (mostly because they will be close up to people and used for many pictures) but there are other things I decided to make myself just because I love a good diy :b Using silk flowers I’ve made our wedding arch arbour piece as well as floral chandelier for the reception (both I showed on here ☺️)

We decided to go with real for my bouquet, my MOH is having a single white rose with some greenery as my dress is very detailed (i am having a MOH size bouquet as too big wont be good for the details) and my fiance is having a real boutineer.

All the corsages I made myself with silk flowers and the other boutineers... We decided to not to flowers for the centerpieces as we are having a large candle/ beer growlers in the center. I also made a bunch of greenery/flower accents for the arch we will get married under and to go around other signs! I also made a throw away bouquet!

Here is the corsages I made for the moms and grandmothers!

I've been on this same question for the last two weeks. Decided to go with real flowers for the bouquets, boutonnières, etc... For the wedding decorations, silk! More budget friendly.

Simple centerpieces for each table was done as it consisted of vase and artificial floral white ball on top. The cost was less than purchasing and being rental, it was taken back after the event as oppose to storing at home.

We used real flowers but we gave our florist a budget to work with and they pitched us what could be done within it. Do let the florist dictate the price. Talk to a few and ask what can be done in a certain price point.

My fiance and I have gone with silk flowers for our upcoming wedding! Best decision ever! The flowers we have chosen would be 3 times for expensive if they were real. Also we're getting married in a different province so we're having to take the flowers with us, plus they won't wilt on the day of because of the heat!!

We had bought our flowers from a florist about 3 years ago and got them made up this past summer so now they're just patiently for the big day!
