Do you really need a sign for cards, sign for guestbook and sign for favours?

    Hi there,

I like to be over prepared and make sure there is no guessing when my family and friends are there. I have an alternative guestbook so I have a note to write on “our family tree”, a watercolour picture of birch trees. I added a note to the guestbook sign that we are all family here and to sign on a branch instead of in a book. We are going to hang it as an art piece in our home after. Also, we have two different types of favours so we need another sign asking guests to take one of each. I think when you stray from traditional ways of doing things, it’s a good idea to have a sign. The following pictures are mock ups I made on a word document. I’m going to print them out and place them in gold picture frames. I swear the lettering doesn’t overlap when it’s printed. Sorry!

One thing I am not sure about are signs for my necessities baskets in each of the restrooms. What do you think? That is one thing that is obvious and possibly doesn’t need one?Signage-do you really need 4

Of course Patrice. Anytime!! It’s so simple and nice.
I created the sign on Canva and printed them like photos. Frames were from Dollarama.

I'm only doing a seating chart and an unplugged sign for the ceremony. I'm not doing a sign for everything.

The guest book was followed by the seated escort cards with a personalized heaven note with it. The favours didn't need as they were set on the table for the guests itself to take with a Thank You card as well.

Needed? Not necessarily. I think it could come down to those thing, ie: is your guestbook more "complicated" than just signing something like the polaroid books where you may need to provide some instructions. maybe your favors need some instructions too.

However, if its a sign just for the sake of a sign that says "favors" or "guestbook" I don't think they are necessary.

I created my own signs and place them in picture frames. I like having the signs so that they know what is what…

They had them all on the Welcome table with “unplugged ceremony” and “find for seat” since the ceremony plan changed, due to rain. Haha. But you get the idea.

I made my own signs but really I'm sure most people know what goes where or can follow the lead of others. I used frames from my house and put them back after 😊

That’s a great idea! Or go to the dollar store. You could even paint the inside with chalk paint and use chalk to letter the signs. I’m getting ideas

I found all the signs I needed on market place a bride had just had her wedding! so it costed me a total 80 bucks for 12 signs!

One reccomendation I would make if you don't use signage for the guest book/cards and gift table is to ask your bridal party or close family to sign the guest book and put their gifts/cards on the table so it will make it very obvious for guests what to do. No one likes to be the first one to do things for some reason

I don't think it's necessary but if you want to have them there's nothing wrong with that! We've reused old picture frames that my mom had and spray painted them to our wedding colors instead of buying new ones and I used my computer to make the wording.

I don't think so! I am pretty sure all these are self-explanatory. I'm not wasting the money for the signage. I am only doing a welcome sign and seating place cards.
