Shuttle advice please

Jillian, on July 12, 2022 at 16:07 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5
How long is too long to be on a shuttle to the ceremony??

We have two hotel blocks (one we have a rooming list and the other we don’t cuz the hotel didn’t mention they don’t keep track - the guests just have a generic discount code to use)

If we do one shuttle pick up hotel A, then drive to hotel B(we don’t even now how many guests will be at hotel b) then to the venue hotel A people will be on the shuttle for 1 hour total.
If we do separate shuttles one for hotel a to venue, and one for hotel b to venue then each bus will be on the shuttle for 30 mins. And we have to pay for 2 shuttles.
Thanks!

    Hi there,

Definitely go with two shuttles. Depending how many passengers, the driver might have to do that hour drive then the return travel time to get the rest of the guests if people leave all at once. It really is a liability thing to make sure people get there safely: there and back. So I am totally on board with having a shuttle. Period. If money with your current service is tight maybe shop around more for a different shuttle or charter vendor. I hired King Charters based out of Toronto. But they have different titles depending on where they have other offices. I definitely recommend them. I only have them hired and doing a shuttle this early August but their prices are super reasonable. Also, if you do hire them they may recommend to hire the shuttle for the day even though it’s only the second half of the day. It doesn’t really increase the price much. All the best!

I would do one to get to the venue and then two for the end because I know having to be in a shuttle for an hour when you are tired and just want to go to bed is dreadful. But then again I'm happy with free shuttle so I can drink and have fun and not have to worry about getting back to the hotel.

I would do two shuttles if you can afford it. Imagine guests leaving at the end of the night and it takes an hour to get home. At that rate, I would rather drive myself even if it means having less or no drinks.

The two hotels locaions will be the same time to arrive however you choose the shuttle. The time proided to meet atthe front entrance will allow guests to make it on time to the ceremony. One wedding i attended with the family had 3 buses taking everyone to the beach. They knew there would be lots of us to get the ceremony site and reception following.

PERSONALLY, I would have no issue being on a bus for a hour if it meant I didn't have to drive and if costs where covered by someone else.
