and that lil bolero jacket in picture #1 is amazing!

One of our wedding colours is black. The groomsmen are in all black tuxes, tablecloths/linens are black, and it's an evening winter wedding, so it will be dark in general.

We are balancing it with pops of silver/sparkle, and twinkle lights. The wood beams in the venue are wrapped in them, as well as our centrepieces will have candles and lights.

The bridesmaids are also in dark navy, so it will all have a very formal look!

In an industry where the default model(s) in most photos is/are not as diverse as they could be I think I interpret this question a bit differently, so with no shade intended, here’s my response:

1. I love the idea of pops of blackness like the bride’s accessories in the first photo

2. If I were younger, I’d totally have a Black Panther themed wedding and wear a dress like the one Lupita wore to the BP premier (2nd photo).

3. Our budget’s tight but one of my favourite recent black weddings is the one Shantrelle P. Lewis curated in New Orleans - so much culture! So much blackness! So awesome!

I love the look of the B&W wedding but I need a pop of colour in my life!

My cousin's wedding was B&W with some red accents and looked really cool!
