Shoes!

Lauren, on December 2, 2018 at 17:29 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 11
Hi everyone!!

I’ve found THE DRESS but am now having a hard time finding the shoes to go with it. Ive tried on many styles but am so unsure of what I like/don’t like. They need to be 3” in height as that is what I know I’ll be comfortable and I’ve ordered my dress to fall at this length. The ONLY shoes I’ve liked thus far are Bella belle, but they are just a bit out of budget for me. Does anyone recommend any similar brands to look at?? Also, seeing as I’m so indecisive maybe you can give me some input on style based off of practicality.. our ceremony will be outdoor, on grass. I’ve been planning on getting those little heel clips to put over the heels to protect them but any advice on heels on grass would be great. Another thing, if you got married or are planning on getting married on grass did you put anything in the ground to avoid grass stains on your white dress? My train is decently long so this is a concern for me. Any advice is appreciated!

I bought my wedding shoes online directly from the designer (Badgley Mischka)... I saw them originally on the DSW website. They were $80 CDN!!!

I got heel protectors in one of my bridal subscription boxes, so as long as they won't shave off the sparkle on the heels, I'll be using them. Also, I'm getting married in January, so on the chance it's a bit wet, or snows, I'm going to be wearing boots under my dress for outdoor photos! Haha.

Is it weird to consider scotch-guarding the underside of your dress? I've seriously considered it! Haha. More so cus I have a higher chance of being in wet weather.

Walking around like normal shouldn't leave grass stains on your dress... So long as no one steps on it!

    Good luck!

I’m shocked that the brand isn’t already well known. Davidsbridal also has some good ones! They are actually having a sale today, but one get one 50% off. It may also include accessories. It’s online only!

As for the runner suggestion, I like the idea but unfortunately it wouldn’t work with my wedding. It’s more of a garden themed wedding. So I think if I were to do something along the lines of a runner I’d need to do petals, leaves etc.. not sure. But it will be a decently long walk. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Now I am totally looking up this brand. but don't think I can justify the cost personally.

I'm personally going with a sandal. I found some on david's bridal that have my attention (just haven't bought yet). so they may be worth trying out. they have SOOO many options.

in terms of the grass and your dress. I would put an aisle runner down. doesn't have to be anything fancy. even a simple white runner. unless the walk down the aisle isn't long. then I wouldn't worry too much.

I’m hoping for a good Boxing Day sale!
My wedding isn’t until August 11th, so I still have plenty of time. And if I can not find anything else before the wedding - I’ll probably just end up spoiling myself and getting a pair of Bella Belle’s because... I’ve put so much work into this wedding. I deserve it! We all do.

I appreciate your concern and efforts. ♥️

Is there any way you could fit them into your budget? Trim in another area, maybe, and splurge on yourself Smiley shame They are such beautiful shoes... maybe they will have a really great boxing day sale, if you can wait a few more weeks? (I feel lucky that the flats are much cheaper than the heels tho)

Awe!! That’s so wonderful, I’m glad I could help ❤️❤️
The search is hard and Bella Belle’s are the perfect mix of elegant, soft and romantic. They are literally the ideal wedding shoe in my opinion.

I had never heard of these shoes... and I just bought some lmao. Thank you, Lauren!!!

I've been looking FOR MONTHS for some delicate flats that don't look like little girl/gramma shoes and I ended up picking these...

I am also at a loss as to what shoes to get... I REALLY wanted some pretty lacy ones, but my dress is also lace, especially at the bottom of the skirt, so if they don't match, will it be weird? Do I go totally crazy and get blue shoes or some other colour? For the record, my dress is currently ankle length, but I may have it shortened to tea length, so the shoes will be completely visible...

Not sure where to find styles like that... You may have to wait for spring styles to start coming out (should be very soon). You may also want to try bridal salons. I know David's bridal sells shoes - does the place you got your dress from have any?

Have you looked into le chateau? Sometimes they have styles that are similar to the ones you like.
You may also luck out on amazon. I just ordered mine and still waiting for them to come in. I also had a super hard time finding something I liked in stores

I don’t have any ideas on brands. But since you will be on grass would maybe a thicker heal or wedge work better? Also remember you can always get your dress hemmed if you see shoes that are less then 3inch heals that you like.
