Unfortunately, at this rate vaccine rollout is still slow and projected completion of inoculations is by june this year. My parents are from overseas. They greatly influence my decision to move my wedding next year to June 25, 2022. Other countries like Israel is looking into vaccine passports. Hoping this will be a part of Canadian Travel regulations someday to ease on travel restrictions specially for those who have family overseas. Hope you ladies will have the wedding your heart wishes. We can only hope for the best. We can do this!

September 11 2021 bride here too! It has been so disheartening here in Ontario with all of the restrictions in place, and another Stay at Home Order until May. We are still going ahead with our plans, we invited 56 guests and plan to keep things tight if we have to. With our venue we have gone ahead with our deposit already. The Force Majeure clause will only take effect if there are gathering restrictions 30 days before our date, and we would be able to either cancel and do a backyard thing or postpone (which I really don't want to do). It's so hard because I want to still plan it all like it's going to happen and get the cute stuff, but at the same time I don't want to waste my time/money if we can't have it. We are really flexible with it all but the dancing thing is really our biggest concern if we can do it or not. Only time will tell, we are all in this together!

We are getting married September 23rd 2021, after we originally postponed from October. We are hopeful that we can go ahead, although our numbers are only around the 40 mark. However, my family is in the UK so the international travel is a barrier. With the news of the vaccine I am more hopeful, but we will monitor as the next few months go by to see. We have the ability to move our vendors as long as they have dates available in the future, but I suspect that we will just have a ceremony in September anyway if we can’t go ahead, seeing as we’ve already postponed once.
    Keep thinking positive thoughts!

We had a lot of backup plans in place.
We had thought about a full elopement (us witnesses officiant and maybe photographer) and we spoke to our parents to see how they would feel about this. We also made plans for who we wanted if we had a micro wedding which is ultimately what we ended up doing. We had 20 people including our officiant and photographer, we missed my husband's parents and grandparents and my brother due to health and isolation concerns.

I think being cautious and having a few lists of potential guests is the way to go. This year we hope to have our full reception, but who knows what fall 2021 will look like!
