No worries!
Its crazy the first bit but then it slows down - especially after you have a venue. It gets waaaay easier

First thing is discuss a budget - make sure it is not some people saying oh I may give you this, look into what you have as real cash in hand to be able to book. Some places expect half up front or some only want a deposit. Once you have a budget I would look into venues that can accommodate said budget and make sure you still leave enough for everything else like your food, drinks, photographer, videographer (if you decide to have one) florals, rentals, music, etc.
Also, be prepared that your date may change if you do not have a place booked yet. When I was looking in 2021, some places already had their 2025 books open for venues. Especially since September in Canada is considered the most popular month to get married.
