Sending out new invitations & rsvps

Chandra, on April 7, 2020 at 15:31 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 4

We are in the discussion of changing our June 20, 2020 date to September 12, 2020.

I'm not really interested in sending out another save the date, instead we will just resend a new invitation with the new date and location with a new rsvp.

Has anyone else sent new invitations ?

If so what did you put on them ? Did you mention the date has been moved on the invitation ?

Did you already send invites out for the original date? If not I would wait until as late as you can in case things aren't back to normal by September. It would suck to need to reach out to everyone again or even tell people they can't come because of a limit on gathering sizes. If you've already sent them I would send an update letting them know you've postponed and that a formal invitation will follow, and still wait to send the official invite.

Creating new invites and RSVP cards seems unfit since you have everything set just with a different date. A simple email and/or social media text is good enough to send to your guests letting them know you have postponed the wedding date. This notification will allow them to push the travel arrangements for the later date.

If you have chosen new venue, then yes it seems right to create new invites giving them the update.
