Sending out invitations

Teri, on January 22, 2021 at 13:25 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 7
Wondering how everyone is going about sending invitations out. Are you sending them out to your original guest list and letting them know the final count will depend on how many people you are allowed by the wedding date? We originally had a guest count of 80 that is only family and close friends.

We were fortunate to have the full guest list invitations sent as it occurred before the Covid. There are couples now that have gone the route of creating 2 guest lists for the limit at the time and the rest when restrictions lift. Your invitations can be sent out with one suggestion of a Covid note to notify if any changes occur, there will be updates given.

My fiance and I had started out with a guest list of 75 and now we're sitting at 42. We have talked about a, b, and c list. All of our immediate family will be group A, close friends will be group B and the rest will be group C. Once we start sending out the invites for group A and see who have said yes to coming or not coming, we will then start with group B and so forth.

We've both come to realization that our wedding guest list will not have everyone that we wanted there and our wedding will be a bit smaller but at the end of the day we want to make sure everyone is safe and healthy.

Some people are sending all invitations with a note that their final attendance is pending government restrictions. Others are sending them by batches as things open more. It depends on whether your guests can accommodate a last minute invite vs you willing to tell guests they're uninvited.

Personally I’d wait until March before making a decision. Still enough time for many things to change Smiley smile. I hope it goes as planned!

When is your wedding? Chances are you’ll be okay with that nr if it’s in the summer.
