Secret or Sharing? - Who's in your wedding party

No secret here. I asked them and, if anyone asks who is standing, I will happily share who is making up my bride tribe!

It hasn't been a secret! My cousin asked if she was in the wedding party and I said no. haha We used to be close growing up and she just assumed I would ask her even though now we aren't close at all

Sharing, can't really say I've been asked since I think everyone assumes that my sister will be my MOH and they would be right! I am not having any other bridesmaids.

Shared! Once I asked someone I would tell them who else I was asking and I posted all their names once everyone confirmed

I planned cut way to ask and everyone said yes!

I had quite a few people ask me right away and we hid it at first as it wasn't official. We told people after everything was official though.

Of course we told people! It wasn't going to be a secret.

We've shared with the family and anyone else who's asked.

Secret as to it being locals and not something that came up.

Well I got engaged December 30th 2017, and I didn't ask them (other than my sister being MOH) until I think November 2018 which was technically under a year till the wedding.

I would say that if you think that these girls are for life and have to be in the wedding party then by all means ask them - but I know that there would have been at least one girl that I would have asked at the time of engagement that now we are grown apart and it would have been so awkward to un-ask her or try and avoid it. My sister took the MOH role as soon as I told her I was engaged (promised since we were kids that we were to be eachothers MOH).

I'm with your FH on this though, especially if he doesn't have a set group of guys that he wants to ask. Once you have the venue I would say that at least you have a for sure date but even then I would wait because you never know who will still be there when the time comes around.

How are you?? So you really waited a year before you asked your bridal party?? Wasn't that hard?? I am waiting still but I am dying inside because I really want to ask my friends lol! We've been engaged for a year already well in May 17th on my Birthday it was a year lol. We are hopefully asking soon I really want to!!! My FH doesn't want to because we have nothing booked yet or anything! Our wedding is planning to be September 4th and 5th of 2020. Do you have any advice for me with asking or still waiting till we have things booked?? Thanks girl

We're sharing this information. The people we've chosen are pretty obvious choices that everyone would assume anyway.

People keep asking me this and I'm like "nobody!" I don't have a wedding party, and it's great! lol

Again, nothing to share or keep secret : We don't have a wedding party!

We asked our siblings right away. We waited until my sister came home last year and asked everyone together!

I waited until the 1 year mark to officially ask my BM's but after I did ask them I posted it on our wedding website. No need to keep it a secret, this would only help guests if they have a question and need to know who to ask on the big day (wouldn't want them coming to me with those questions!).
