Seating/escort

Amyfanggg, on October 9, 2017 at 00:48 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10
How are you dealing with the seating instructions/escort cards? I saw a lot of list-by-table (instead of individual escort cards) and I think that's the way to go, only cause it feels like it involves less work, but where am I going to put the list? I just feel like there's going to be too much stuff hanging or on an easel (the hashtag sign, the welcome sign, a photo of the FH and me)... Please share your ideas!

I did a large chalkboard sign as a seating chart. Our favours were small boxes of fudge and had everyone's names and meal selections on them and were on the tables waiting for them when they got there.

I purchased a big pack of card stock which I used for my seating chart. I had A LOT of extras, so I ended up printing a smaller version of each table name (that hung on a wine bottle - part of our centrepiece) and I printed out a menu card for each guest and wrote their name on it, and doubled as a name card. My "project" only costed like $20 + ink (I still have 1/2 the pack of cardstock left over.. so I will say I only spent $10 lol.. for seating chart, table list, 190 menu cards). I think the seating chart would of been enough. I just had a lot of extra supplies on hand.

I put my hashtag sign, welcome sign, and photo of us on the reception table out front. So the only thing that hung was the seating chart. Hope this helps

I just put them in a collage frame fromJysk. It was super easy and I got a lot of compliments on it. It was way less work and set up time than escort cards would be.

I'm not doing a seating chart just cause I don't want to spend time putting 200 guests together.

We did a mirrored seating chart! But I think it's way easier to do escort cards Smiley shame If you mess up on the seating chart, or someone's RSVP status changes last minute - it's harder to make the changes on a big list/chart! Escort cards are easier in this case because you only have remove/add/change one!

I am hanging the people per table lists and I got it from winners ( it says welcome on top so I am combining it with my welcome sign) then when they get to their seats there will be individaul escort cards on which seat is there's because I have thought about who sits well next to each other. Putting this on an easel, the hastag sign, and a photo of fiance and me are going on the guestbook table which is perpendicular to the welcome + seating chart
