Save the dates/invitations/website?

Julie, on January 11, 2023 at 14:30 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 3
Hi all! We've officially booked our venue and date, yay (September 2nd, 2022)! So now I'd like to send out the save the dates, but I'd love some guidance on what to include. I've read that STDs are just names/date/location. But if already know our specific time and venue, should I include that?

Also, should the link to the wedding site be included on the STD or just the invitations? If including it on the STD, what information should be there at this time? I'm super excited and would love to share as much information as possible with my guests (especially since many are asking) but I don't want to add so much information that the actual invitations become unnecessary.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Congratulations to you both! We are just including the date, location, time and a link to our wedding website.

Hi Julie! Congrats on booking your venue and locking down your date!!

We included a link to our wedding website on our Save The Date - just so our guests would have it as a resource and so we could continue to add new information to it!! At the time that our Save the Dates went out, the wedding website just had our wedding event details (location, date, time), a welcome message, and an "about us" section where we included the story of how we met! Over the next few months we added a wedding party section, transportation info, our wedding registry, accommodations information, etc.

Congrats Julie! So exciting! Been there Smiley smile

I had sent out an Evite, not through the WeddingWire site. I had just our names, the date and time, and the city. The Evite allowed me to write a message for the guests so I wrote - Details to follow. Nothing is required on your part at this time. But even still, everyone was super excited and wanted details LOL
