Save the date cards

Kendalevelina, on December 4, 2017 at 21:12 Posted in Before the wedding 0 9
Hey everyone, thanks for the support and congratulations to you all Smiley winking
My fiances friends and family are mainly in australia, while my rather large family are all in canada. We have a long while till the wedding (May 30 2019) but since he is getting residency and many of his friends just got married themselves or started families we wanted to give everyone ample time to save up! Im not sure if i should just send out save the dates to the out of country family ahead of time and then send out final invitations at a more resonable time to all guests?

What would you do!?

We are not doing Save the Dates, Saves money this way too. I have seen people do evite ones to save money with a picture of the 2 of them. We are just sending out our wedding invitations earlier. Wedding is in August and we are sending our invitations in February.

I'm sending my save the dates as soon as I book a date and venue. I'm in the same boat, where all my family lives in England as that's where I moved from. Even though they'll have two years warning, it's such an expensive trip that even then most people won't be able to come.

We sent out our save the dates shortly after we got engaged; although our engagement is 9 months. We had our venue and date before we were engaged, but we weren't telling anyone. I hinted to my long distance family and friends back in August that there would be a reason to travel to Alberta next summer.

We e-mailed our save the dates to everyone at the same time. That way, we knew it was done and we didn't have to send out a second batch later.

I sent out save the dayes about 1 year in advance , but i do t see why your couldnt send them earlier to out of town guests if you already have your date Smiley smile
We sent our save the dates all through email to save some money and i think it was pretty well recieved. And we have some guests we are still on the fence about so we just didnt send them save the dates, but will send invitation if we decide to include them.

Im just wondering, for financial reasons, to send out the 15 or so save the dates to out out of country guests only and verbalize it to in country family, or if that would be unfair?

We sent out our save the dates to everyone at the same time including those who lived in other countries. Due to having people living far away we sent them out a bit earlier than most people would be and we were also having a short engagement (9 months). I think if you feel that you should send them sooner than I would do that.
