Rsvp - plus one?

Ghizlane, on August 4, 2017 at 11:25 Posted in Tech support 0 7

Is there a way to have the "plus one" option on the rsvp section of the website instead of having individual email addresses of all the invites? There are a lot of couples but I still we have to add the guests one by one...

Did you use wedding wire email-RSVPs or another website? The other ones allow us to ask for the invites of the guests and their names...

Thank you for your help

Hi, So I have added my guests and if they have a plus one I linked them with a "guest unknown". That will come up in the RSVP when they search their name but there isnt a way I can have them enter the guests name? How will I make a place setting...? I cant make a place card for Timmy's guest..or I hve to contact everyone and ask who they are bringing? That seems odd.

Is the only way to ask them to write their guests name in the comments section maybe?

    Thanks

I only had number of guests with names on the mailing label. Family and friends had no +1. One guest disputed and did for her only.

    Oh Ok thank you Lynnie!

That would be a great features to have, though (if you are still doing some developments to the website). For example, in the guest list, we could have a button (enable) to allow some of the guests to bring plus ones. It would be helpful and reduce the amount of work collecting names and emails (specially for big weddings!).

    Thanks!

Gotcha! There is no way for guests to add their own plus ones or additional guests. This keeps people from adding uninvited guests!! Only guests who you have added to your Guest List can RSVP.

    Hi Lynnie,

    Thank you for your reply.

I was actually wondering if I could leave it to my "primary" guest to add/confirm his or her plus one by him/herself without me having to add individual guest (even Guest Smith).

For example, if I add my friend Anna, is there a way for me to allow Anna to bring a Plus One without me having to enter "Anna's Guest" on the guest list.

I would like to know if there is an option in the RSVP section that allows Anna to receive her RSVP and confirm if she is coming with her plus one (without me having to enter "Anna's guest".

    Thank you

Hi Ghizlane! Are you trying to group couples together as a unit, or asking how to add plus ones to the guest list?

When adding guests to your Guest List, you can add additional guests on to the existing contact. An easy tip to adding plus ones is to add those extra guests as "Guest Smith". So when "Joe Smith" searches for Smith to RSVP, "Guest Smith" will pop-up as well!

Let me know if this answered your questions!

I used The Knot for our RSVPs and I have loved it so far. We have received feedback from our guests saying how easy it was.
What I liked about it compared to wedding wire was that people could select which meal they want as the send in their RSVP and the Knot app keeps track of how many guests ordered each dish. And for plus 1's, you don't have to put a name or email. In fact you don't have to associate an email to anyone which is great. As long as you have their name they just search for it and RSVP. You can also group guests as single, couple or family which is great for organization.
This sounds like I'm sponsored by them lol I swear I'm not, I just have had such a good experience with them after trying to deal with the wedding wire RSVP I much prefer this one!
